Dr Dennis Chan is a specialist endocrinologist and general physician dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. His expertise spans a broad range of endocrine conditions, with a particular focus on osteoporosis, women's health, diabetes, and the crucial intersection of endocrinology and cancer care. He believes in empowering patients with the knowledge and support needed to make informed health decisions, thinking not just about the immediate future, but incorporating longer term goals as well.

Following the completion of his medical degree at the University of Otago in 2012, Dr Chan undertook advanced endocrinology and general medicine training at Dunedin and Christchurch Hospitals in Aotearoa New Zealand, and the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He became recognised as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2020. In addition, Dr Chan has also completed postgraduate certificates in women's health from the University of Otago and in clinical ultrasound from the University of Melbourne. He also holds two masters degrees with distinction, including a Master of Bioethics and Health Law from the University of Otago, and a Master of Science in Endocrinology and Diabetes at the renowned Barts and the London School of Medicine.

Dr Chan is committed to continued education and evidence-based practice. He is also active in medical research and is currently pursuing a PhD in translational research at the Kolling Institute to help improve the management of neuroendocrine neoplasms. He has received scholarships from the Cancer Institute of New South Wales, Australian Rotary Health and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Chan brings unique expertise in osteoporosis, not only as a specialist but also as an experienced clinical densitometrist, having interpreted and reported numerous DXA scans. Notably, he is the first medical practitioner in Australia to offer REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry), providing an advanced alternative for the diagnosis, screening, and monitoring of osteoporosis.
