Trusted Women’s Health Doctors in Sydney

Redefining care at every stage

Ponti Health’s core focus is on women’s health; however, our Speciality Clinics are dedicated to delivering inclusive, high-quality care for all patients, regardless of gender.

We sadly don’t accept any DVA/Workers Compensation/Work Cover/NDIS referrals from new patients.

Why See a Women’s Health GP?

A women’s health GP is a general practitioner with a special interest and experience in the unique health needs of women, from adolescence to menopause and beyond.

Unlike standard GPs who manage a broad range of health issues, a women’s health GP offers specialised, in-depth support for hormonal health, reproductive concerns, menstrual disorders, sexual health and more, all delivered with warmth, sensitivity and time to be heard.

Whether you’re navigating your first period, planning a pregnancy, managing perimenopause symptoms, or just not feeling like yourself, our women’s health GP provides care that’s grounded in clinical excellence and a deep understanding of the female body.

What Can a Women’s Health GP Help With?

Our Sydney-based women’s health GPs can support you with:

  • Menstrual concerns (painful, heavy or irregular periods)

  • PMS and PMDD symptoms (premenstrual mood issues)

  • Contraception advice and prescriptions

  • Fertility and pre-conception planning

  • Pregnancy care and shared antenatal care

  • Postnatal health checks and mental well-being

  • Menopause symptoms and perimenopause support

  • Hormonal imbalance and thyroid concerns

  • Breast checks and cervical screening (pap smears)

  • Sexual health care (STI checks, libido concerns, painful sex)

  • General women’s health checks and preventative care

  • Mental health and emotional well-being

Finding Your Starting Point - GP Appointments

At Ponti Health, we understand that every patient's needs are different. That is why we offer five pathways for new patients to access our GP appointments. Choose the option that best suits your health concerns, lifestyle, and the level of support you're looking for.

Comprehensive (60-90 minutes)Our most thorough initial appointment, designed for patients who wish to take their time exploring their health concerns in depth. Includes access to our Concierge Service with SMS communication, assistance coordinating both internal and external appointments, nursing support and fast-tracked access to specialists when you need them.

This is especially popular for patients in their peri-post menopausal years and those who have navigated complex hormonal, mental and cardio metabolic health concerns, including Endometriosis and Weight loss.

Single Issue (30 minutes)A focused consultation for patients wishing to discuss a specific single issue health concern. This appointment works well if you have one clear issue you'd like to address with your GP.

Mental Health Specialist GP (45-60 minutes)An appointment with our GP who has undertaken additional training in mental health. Designed for patients navigating conditions such as Neurodiversity, PMDD, Eating Disorders, Personality Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, Perinatal/Postpartum Depression and other mental health challenges who would benefit from GP-led care with specialist expertise. This includes priority access to our psychiatry or psychology rooms for follow-up care if needed.

ADHD Evaluation OR Continuation Prescriber (45-60 minutes)Specifically designed for patients wishing to explore whether they may have ADHD. This initial appointment provides a thorough appointment with our GP who specialises in mental health, and includes priority access to our psychiatry or psychology rooms for follow-up care if needed.

  • GP appointments are the first step, not the diagnosis.

  • Continuing Prescriber GP's requires a Transfer of Care/Co-management letter from your treating Psychiatrist. The GP will then require 24-72 hours to apply for authority to do so, and take over care

Telehealth (45 minutes) A virtual appointment that brings Ponti's expertise to you, wherever you are. Especially popular with patients seeking expert GP support in rural or out-of-town areas who value ongoing care without the travel.
