Exercise Physiologist vs Physio — What’s the Difference?
An exercise physiologist (EP) is a university-qualified allied health professional who designs and delivers safe, evidence-based exercise plans for women with chronic conditions, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, and more.
A physiotherapist is more hands-on, focused on diagnosing and treating pain, injury, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
If you need a tailored plan to build strength, energy, or support a medical condition through movement, see an exercise physiologist. If you’re dealing with acute or unresolved pain, or need a clinical diagnosis, start with a physiotherapist.
At Ponti, our EPs and physios work together so you may see both as part of your care.
