Independently owned. Co-founded & clinically led by doctors
The practice you’d build, if you had the time
At Ponti Health, we’re dedicated to bridging the gaps in private healthcare. We’re just as committed to looking after the people who do the work. It’s old school camaraderie and teamwork. Some call it pastoral care.
Burnout is forcing too many good clinicians out of the system. We’re working to unlock what drives it: administrative gridlock, wait lists and the lack of processes that leave patients with a poor experience.
It starts with looking after you
We believe one of the best ways to improve patient outcomes is to raise the standard of care for our team. It starts with the basics: an architecturally crafted space, a great coffee machine, and a fridge stocked so you can grab a bite between back-to-backs. This is what we mean by looking after our team.
Your reputation, built properly
Building a reputation in private practice can be tricky, and the rules around how doctors promote themselves are rightly strict. That’s where our marketing team comes in: their job is to make sure your work reaches the patients looking for exactly what you do.
Peer review: multidisciplinary team meetings
At Ponti Health, you work as part of a cohesive team. The clinical charge is led by Dr Gaurav Tandon (psychiatrist) and Dr Anna Connellan (GP), who continue to work as VMOs in the Sydney Local Health District.
Alongside daily interaction and clinical chat groups, our multidisciplinary team meetings every 12 weeks give all our clinicians a regular chance to share knowledge and ideas, and keep improving patient outcomes.
You’re not working in a silo; you have a team of peers. It also means you can take those precious breaks knowing your patients are cared for.
Women first, not women only: 40% of our psychiatry patients are men
Women’s health is our core focus, so we needed clinicians who had leaned into hormone-informed care as their subspecialty. However, all our clinicians and speciality clinics deliver inclusive medical care for every patient, regardless of gender.
Our psychiatry rooms provide general psychiatric services, not just women’s mental health. Men make up 10% of our GP patients and about 20% across our other rooms.
Across generations
Our rooms see families across generations. Mums bring daughters, who bring fathers and husbands - it has been a pleasant surprise. We started with a focus on midlife care; today, 55% of our patients are 40 or under.
Every walk of life
Our patients are curious and informed, and they come from every walk of life. We don’t bulk bill; however, we’re fortunate to work with a handful of social outreach organisations, which means we can care for some patients who otherwise couldn’t see us.
From all corners, patients travel for the right care
They’re finding us from all corners. Mosman, the Shire, Ryde, the Eastern Suburbs, Campbelltown, Freshwater. Melbourne, Perth, Orange, Geelong and Brisbane.
We wanted to break the tired idea that medical services need to be conveniently placed: a mould we believe has driven patients into the arms of social media quick fixes. Our patients are choosing experience, knowledge, curiosity and excellence over convenience.
How we work : reimagined admin
Medical admin is broken, and anyone who’s worked in it knows the frustration. So we’ve built our own process maps and AI tools from scratch, including a referral tracking tool. It’s a work in progress, and always will be, with your feedback shaping what we build next.
Team culture
We hire thinkers
We look for administrative team members who think deeply, bring specificity and solve problems.
No hierarchy
Respect flows both ways, whatever your role. Ask us who the best barista in house is. (It’s not who you’d think). Everyone owns their part, and we hold each other to the standard we’ve built Ponti Health on.
23 days’ annual leave
Medical admin teams are too often burnt out and undervalued. We do a little more to make sure ours feel valued, starting with 23 days’ annual leave for full-time team members, three more than the national standard.
Mistakes happen. We solve them together.
Psychological safety matters here. When something goes wrong, everyone comes together to solve it. It’s how we keep unlocking the gridlocks and puzzles that wear private clinics down.
Does this sound like you?
We are looking for dedicated clinicians who share our passion for health and are looking for a new way of working in private practice.
